We are looking for a Senior Regulatory & Packaging Consultant (Food & FMCG)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Regulatory & Packaging Consultant with deep expertise in food legislation, packaging, and labelling. The role involves working closely with our clients across Europe, ensuring that their products comply with applicable regulations—while also delivering commercially viable solutions.

You will operate at the intersection of regulation, technology, and business, with the ability to translate complex legislation into practical, actionable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, review, and approve product labelling in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Ensure compliance with food contact material (FCM) legislation, including Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and Regulation (EU) No 10/2011.
• Evaluate packaging solutions from both a regulatory and technical perspective (migration testing, DoC, material selection, etc.).
• Provide advice on environmental and sustainability aspects related to packaging.
• Ensure compliance with product safety requirements under Regulation (EU) 2023/988.
• Support clients in launching products in new markets (e.g. France, Spain, Scandinavia, and Finland).
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and structured review processes.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in food legislation and/or packaging.
• In-depth knowledge of EU regulations related to labelling and FCM.
• Experience in reviewing and approving product labels.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working across multiple EU markets (e.g. France, Spain).
• Knowledge of migration testing, material science, and Declarations of Compliance (DoC).
• Experience from food production, retail, or consultancy.
• Experience with digital tools, databases, or automation.
