Anna is a food agronomist and work as a consultant at Herax Food Solutions AB. She is an expert in regulatory issues relating to food labeling and mainly works with labeling review and training. Previously, Anna has, among other things, worked at the Swedish Food Agency as an advisor to companies and control authorities in matters relating to the application of food legislation.
EU has, within the framework of their farm-to-fork strategy, proposed a series of regulatory proposals, including updates of FIC Regulation. This particular update has not been completed, but some other regulations and directives have been updated. Soon it will be mandatory to have origin labeling for dried fruit and certain nuts, and from June 2026 new labeling requirements will be introduced for e.g. jam and honey.
