The notification requirement for free-from foods will be removed in 2026
The Swedish Food Agency is removing the notification requirement for free-from foods through the new regulation LIVSFS 2025:2. Free-from foods are products labelled as being free from certain allergens, such as gluten or lactose. The purpose of the change is to simplify the rules and reduce administrative work for businesses. The new rules will apply from 1 January 2026.
